Okay, stop please.
DustyMod: It was not Atomic Chinchilla who wrote those reviews of the season 3 finale. It was me. He’s the artist. I’m the gy that actually manages the blog and makes posts like that one.
Unfollow us if you must, but please please PLEASE stop sending Atomic Chinchilla hate. He does not deserve it. He hasn’t even posted anything on this blog in over a month. He actually thought the episode was okay.
Please don’t let my actions color your opinions of him. He is not to blame for anything.
I beg of you, don’t blame Atomic Chinchilla for my stupidity. I already took those reviews down. I’m sorry. Just don’t blame him, okay? He’s the greatest guy I’ve ever known and he doesn’t deserve this sort of thing thrown at him.
Throw hate at me if you must. Unfollow the blog if you want to. But please leave him out of this. He had nothing to do with it.
Officially on Hiatus
Yeah, you could probably guess from just how long it’s been since a post, but Female Shining Armor is officially on hiatus.
AtomicMod has been persuing other things recently. At this point he’s not sure he wants to continue being the artist for this blog. Apparently it’s much more demanding than he ever considered it would be.
As for myself, I honestly need a break from all the ponies. After the travesty that was today’s episode, as well as the sheer amount of raw seething hatred that I get thrown at me every time I try to express an opinion about it, I can’t help but feel like I need to distance myself from the horses for a while.
As per hiatus protocols, we’ll be closing the ask box.
Sorry everybody. We’ll be back.
(Dude, you do realize that there are followers on your blog that perfectly accept and somewhat even agree with the statements you made before you took them down? You shouldn't let a couple of followers leaving you stopping you from posting your opinion.)
Meh. I probably would have deleted them anyway. Bitching and moaning is not what we made this blog for. We made this blog to have fun and tell awkward jokes.
Those reviews weren’t fun to make, or fun to read.
Are they calling the concept childish or what you’re doing with the idea? With writing, anything can be good depending on how it is executed. I’ll help you with your story, honey but…
It’ll take me a second to get used to my stallionly son being a mare.
Well, to quote the last pony I sent it to, “Any grown pony that still spends his time thinking about giant robots needs to grow up and stop being such a basement dwelling stallionfoal. And making them transform is just silly.” So concept I guess.
It’s about the same reaction I get from everypony.
I already thought of this as an AU blog, considering there's no way Shining Armour's going to be irreversibly turned into a mare on the show itself.
…this is a good point
What do you think of twilight being a alicorn.
DustyMod: I’m going to nip this in the bud here and now, so that nobody will ever have to ask this again. If Twilight permanently becomes an alicorn, you can officially think of this as an alternate universe blog. Because that sh*t ain’t happening here.
To be fair, it’s likely already an alternate universe blog, simply by the nature that we have Shining Armor and Princess Cadance living in Canterlot rather than the Crystal Empire. Admittedly we don’t know exactly where they’ve been living these past ten episodes, but it’s largely suggested that it’s in the Crystal Empire. I assume we’ll find out tomorrow.
It’s also worth mentioning that even if we were going to go along with Twilight becoming an Alicorn, you wouldn’t see it in the blog anytime soon anyway. I’ll remind y’all again of the timetable in this story. So far, in this blog, only about a month at most has passed since the events of the Crystal Empire episode, and only about a week has passed since Shining Armor became a female. This is why she still hasn’t had a period/gone into Estrus/even had sex with Cadance as a mare yet.
Let it be known that the reason for this isn’t because we have something against the notion of alicorn Twilight…
…okay, truthfully, I do have a lot against the notion of alicorn Twilight…
But that’s not the reason why we’re alt-universing the blog. The reason why we’re going to alt-universe the blog if Twilight permanently becomes an alicorn is because we already have a story planned out for the blog (if we can ever get our rears in gear) that almost 99% assuredly would not work if Twilight were an alicorn. And I will be a rhinocerous’ asshole before I let a stupid plot twist wash away everything we’ve planned out. I would suspect there are a lot of other pony blogs and fanfiction authors who feel just about the same way. We have a story we want to tell, and we’re gonna tell it whether you like it or not.
Plus, Alicorns are a hell of a lot harder and take a lot longer for AtomicMod to draw. Updates come slow enough as is.
Here have some fanart I whipped up
Just imagine that he walked into his room that was now painted pink.
Shining: Very funny, Nightshade! >_<
DustyMod: Thanks a bunch ;)
Shining: Oh dear, no. Twiley, that’s not true. Proper procedure for immortal magical creatures involves using a Basilisk Stare spell to-
Um… that’s not important actually. Twiley, I’m just worried about you. I love you so much and I don’t want to see you get yourself hurt. And even if you do make some mistakes, you’ll still be my LSBFF. I just want you to be a little bit more responsible with your new powers, okay?
(DustyMod: Oh dear, I think I started something ^^;)
Last night's 30 Minute Challenge seems relevant to this blog.
